Why it is good to give for the tsunami victims

Tyler Cowen gives two good reasons:
  1. Economies of Scale in giving -- and so the more we give to this cause, the more efficient the gifts.
  2. The fleeting images -- we think we will, but then we forget or don't get around to it.
